The man who went to his former high school, armed with a gun, pretending to be a sheriff’s deputy, just pled guilty to the crime.

Today Rico Dukes pled guilty to one count of unlawful carrying of a deadly weapon on school premises and one count of impersonating a peace officer.
Dukes could face up to 2.5 years in prison. Sentencing will take place at a later date.
The crime happened in May when the 26-year-old posed as a deputy on Tinder to find dates, and then visited his old high school, Volcano Vista. Dukes was armed with a gun.
Bernalillo County District Attorney Sam Bregman has made it absolutely clear there is zero tolerance when it comes to bringing guns on school property.
“We hope this sends a message to anyone who even thinks of doing something so predatory, menacing, and dangerous to the community,” Bregman said.
