Today, a judge ruled Nathen Garley will stay behind bars as his case makes its way through the judicial process.
Investigators say Garley and two other men opened fire on a truck Froylan Villegas was in as the child and his family were leaving a baseball game earlier this month.
Police believe at least 14 rounds were fired into the truck, killing Froylan and seriously injuring another family member.
All three suspects are charged with first-degree murder and multiple other criminal charges.
