Today a judge sentenced Frankie Esquibel to 2.5 years behind bars, followed by two years of supervised probation.
In April 2022, he brought a gun onto the Rio Grande High School campus and threatened school employees.
Earlier this year, a jury found Esquibel guilty of 1. Unlawful Carrying of a Deadly Weapon on School Premises (Felony);
2. Assault upon a School Employee (Threat or Menacing Conduct);
3. Assault upon a School Employee (Threat or Menacing Conduct);
4. Assault Upon a Peace Officer – Threatened Battery.
