Today Albert Arnold pled guilty to kidnapping and raping a woman. The crime happened in 1996. He asked the woman for directions, then pulled her into his car at gunpoint, drove to a remote area, and sexually assaulted her.

He was sentenced to 36 years in the Department of Corrections for this crime.

Arnold is a convicted serial rapist. The 62-year-old is currently serving a 62 year prison sentence for multiple prior rapes.

This is the 9th conviction this year by the Bernalillo County DA’s Cold Case Rape Unit, also known as SAKI, in cases involving separate offenders.
