Keeyon Jones was sentenced to five and a half years in the Department of Corrections, followed by two years of parole. In May, Jones pled guilty to Battery Upon a Peace Officer and Attempt to Commit a Felony to Wit: Possession of a Deadly Weapon by a Prisoner. Jones was convicted after he battered a female corrections officer and was found to be in possession of a shank.
