NM Supreme Court Rules Murder Suspect Should Stay in Custody
The New Mexico Supreme Court ruled Monday that a man charged with first degree murder in 2022 should be detained until trial. This order reversed the district court’s decision in January to release Joe Anderson pending trial.
Anderson is charged with first degree murder for the 2022 death of Raymond Aviles.
He has also been previously convicted of a separate crime of voluntary manslaughter in 2016.
