Solomon Peña pleads not guilty in court Friday at arraignment.
 
Police say Peña targeted multiple elected officials in Bernalillo County in December and January, where gunshots were fired at their homes and businesses. Peña was indicted by a grand jury on 14 criminal charges.
 
Those charges include – Criminal Solicitation to Commit Shooting at a Dwelling or Occupied Building (3 Counts); Shooting at a Dwelling or Occupied Building (No Great Bodily Harm) (Firearm Enhancement); or in the Alternative: Shooting at or from a Motor Vehicle (No Great Bodily Harm)(Firearm Enhancement) (3 Counts); Conspiracy to Commit Shooting at a Dwelling or Occupied Building (2 Counts); Unlawful Taking of a Motor Vehicle (2 Counts); Shooting at a Dwelling or Occupied Building (No Great Bodily Harm) (Firearm Enhancement) ; Attempt to Commit a Felony, to Wit: Aggravated Battery (Deadly Weapon) (Firearm Enhancement) ; Receipt, Transportation or Possession of a Firearm or Destructive Device by Certain Persons (2 Counts).
 
Defendants are presumed innocent unless they’re convicted in a court of law.
