Albuquerque, NM – Bernalillo County District Attorney Sam Bregman and Veteran DA’s Will Prosecute Upcoming Criminal Cases
Bernalillo County District Attorney vowed to personally prosecute cases, leading the 2nd Judicial District Attorney’s office in the courtroom.
“I am passionate about working in the courtroom and bringing justice to victims and their family members,” Bregman said.
- District Attorney Sam Bregman and Deputy District Attorney Savannah Brandenburg-Koch will prosecute cases involving murder suspects Jesse Parra and Cruz Medina. The teens are charged with shooting and killing Albuquerque Academy student Jada Gonzales at a house party last December. 19 year-old Parra and 16 year-old Medina are being tried as adults.
- DA Bregman and Deputy District Attorney Guinevere Ice will also prosecute the vehicular homicide case involving James Rodriguez. Investigators believe Rodriguez hit and killed a 17 year-old girl as she was walking along the sidewalk on Menaul and Mesilla NE earlier this month. Investigators believe Rodriguez was drinking when the crash happened. Rodriguez is due in court February 27 at 10:30 AM for a detention hearing.
- DA Bregman and Chief Deputy District Attorney Natalie Lyon are prosecuting Solomon Pena. Pena is charged with shooting at the homes of multiple elected officials in December and January.
