Brianna Garcia was sentenced to 30 years behind bars.
This month, she pled guilty to multiple charges for her role in the death of Anjel Varela.
In January 2022, Anjel Varela was found shot to death in the driver’s seat of his vehicle in the parking lot of an Albuquerque apartment complex. Earlier that day, Garcia devised a plan to rob Varela over drugs and coordinated with three other people to complete the robbery. Varela was killed during that robbery.
Court records also show Garcia has also been arrested multiple times for shoplifting.
