U.S. MARSHALS OPERATION APPREHENDS MORE THAN 80 FUGITIVES.

Albuquerque, N.M. – The U.S. Marshals Service recently conducted a high-impact fugitive apprehension initiative focusing on the country’s most violent offenders in 10 cities across the nation, to include Albuquerque, New Mexico. This 30-day initiative, called Operation North Star II (ONS II), resulted in the arrest of more than 80 fugitives, gang members, sex offenders and violent criminals in the Albuquerque Metro area. The U.S. Marshals Service used its multi-jurisdictional investigative authority and fugitive task force network to arrest 61 state/local fugitives and 27 federal fugitives. 11 firearms were seized as a result of these arrests. Additionally, one missing child was recovered.
