SUSPECTED CATFISH CAUGHT

ARRESTED – Woman charged with luring man on social media, robbing and beating the victim — now back behind bars.

This morning, Special Agents with the Bernalillo County DA’s Office, NM State Police and BCSO arrested 26-year-old Brianna Armijo.

Investigators say in February 2022, she met a man on Tinder, had a brief relationship with him, and invited him to her apartment. Inside, three men armed with guns beat the victim, then forced him to drive them to his parent’s home in Northeast ABQ. Police say the suspects beat the Father’s girlfriend and the victim. The victim suffered massive head injuries.

Armijo was arrested for the crime in June 2022, then released from custody last July. In February 2023, investigators say she cut off her GPS monitor.

She was arrested this morning in Northeast Albuquerque and is currently at MDC, charged with multiple crimes, including kidnapping, armed robbery, and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

Police are still searching for other suspects in this case.
