Suspect Considered Dangerous, Wanted for Federal Arrest Warrant — Back In Custody After Standoff

Today, Agents with the Bernalillo County District Attorney’s office, US Marshals, New Mexico State Police and Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Keon Harris.
Harris had a federal warrant for probation violation. Court records show he has a very long and violent criminal history.
When officers went to arrest him today near Tramway and Indian School, Harris ran into his apartment. After a lengthy standoff, Harris eventually surrendered.
He is currently in federal custody.
“This is an example when law enforcement works together, bad guys can run but they can’t hide,” said Bernalllo County District Attorney Sam Bregman.
