Today, a judge ruled 22 year old Jose Romero is a danger to the public and should remain behind bars as his case goes through the judicial process.
Investigators say earlier this month, Romero and two other men shot at least 14 rounds into a truck Froylan and his family were in as they left a baseball game.
The child died from his injuries. His aunt, who was also in the truck, may be paralyzed.
In this case, Romero and the other suspects are charged with multiple crimes, including first-degree murder.
