Today, a judge sentenced JaJuan Bennett to 22 years in the Department of Corrections.

August 8, 2020, Bennett and three other suspects were charged with robbing and killing 16-year-old “DJ” Brandon at an ABQ park.

Investigators say Brandon was attempting to buy a gun when he was murdered.

In 2022, Bennett pled guilty to his involvement in the crime.

He was on a GPS monitor for a shooting at a dwelling at the time of Brandon’s murder.
