Today a judge sentenced Joseph Wichapa to 12 years in prison.
April 24, 2021, Wichapa got into an argument then fired a gun at a crowd of people, including children, at an apartment complex.
In April 2023, A jury convicted him of Aggravated Assault (Deadly Weapon), Aggravated Assault (Deadly Weapon),
Aggravated Assault (Deadly Weapon), Abuse of a Child (Does Not Result in Death or Great Bodily Harm),
Conspiracy to Commit Aggravated Assault (Deadly Weapon) and Negligent Use of a Deadly Weapon (Discharge).
