Convicted

Today a jury found Leon Martin guilty of two counts of 3rd degree criminal sexual penetration. In 2021, Martin was working as an Isleta Police Officer and had just arrested the victim for DWI. After transporting her to the hospital, he drove her out to Sandia Speedway and raped her, all the while lying to dispatch about his location.

After raping the Victim, he then booked her into the Valencia County Detention Center. Sentencing will take place at a later date.
