Today, Brianna Garcia pled guilty to multiple charges for her role in the death of Anjel Varela.

In January of 2022, Anjel Varela was found deceased in the driver’s seat of his vehicle in the parking lot of an Albuquerque apartment complex. Earlier that day, Garcia devised a plan to rob Varela over drugs and coordinated with three other individuals to complete the robbery. Varela was shot and killed during the commission of that robbery.

Garcia is facing 30 years behind bars. Sentencing will take place at a later date.
