Special Agents with the Bernalillo Co. District Attorney’s Office worked with the New Mexico State Police SWAT and Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office SWAT/Auto Theft to arrest Gilberto Durades-Lahera. Court records show Durades-Lahera had an outstanding felony warrant for Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon. Durades-Lahera was wanted in connection to a shooting at a tow yard in Southeast Albuquerque on August 17, 2023. Durades-Lahera and the victim were in a dispute over a vehicle, which resulted in the shooting. The victim in this case, was transported to UNMH for a gunshot wound to the leg.
