GUILTY

A Bernalillo County Jury convicted Antonio Morales.

Morales, a habitual offender, was convicted of aggravated battery causing great bodily harm. In April 2019, Morales walked into the manager’s office of an Albuquerque apartment complex.

Morales was irate, yelling about not getting his security deposit back from a lone female staffer. A good Samaritan, the victim, walked in trying to de-escalate the situation when Morales punched the victim in the face. The punch rendered the victim unconscious immediately, striking his head on the concrete. To this day, the victim suffers ill effects as a result of that injury.
